I plan holidays to countries I’ve visited personally, here are some of my favourites:
Spectacular scenery, unique volcanic landscapes bubbling into relaxing thermal baths and diverse wildlife are just some of the reasons I love this country. Fitting everything in can be a challenge, to make your time count you need to know what kind of holiday you want and which highlights to prioritise. that’s where I come in! I’ve been twice on 2 week holidays and visited different places each time because there is so much to see. I now have my firm favourites and top tips ready to go, so I’d love the opportunity to plan your ideal Kiwi experience.
Not only does Ecuador have easy access to some of the best parts of the Amazon Jungle and of course the wildlife wonderland of the Galápagos Islands, it also boasts great beaches, trekking to hill tribes or active volcanoes and the cheapest adventure activity hub I’ve visited in the world. The people are friendly and only just waking up to tourism so it’s the perfect time to visit. This country really has it all, get in there before everyone finds out!
A country many want to visit for the famous Machu Pichu, but did you know you could combine this once in a life time experience with visiting glacial mountain ranges, the second largest canyon in the world, a real desert oasis surrounded by everlasting sand dunes and a lake that boasts floating islands made entirely from reeds? I had no idea how diverse Peru was until I got there, my 2 week trip became 4, and I have all the tips and tricks ready to make your experience there just as eye opening as mine was.
I’ve been to every country in South-east Asia, and none of them quite compare to Thailand in my opinion. It has everything you could desire for a dream holiday; white sand beaches, rolling mountains filled with adventure, modern cities that make for the most excellent shopping, mouth-watering food and gorgeous ancient temples. This is a country that manages to mix it’s ancient culture with modern lifestyle so seamlessly, and the Thai people welcome you with open arms to enjoy it with them. I’ve been lucky enough to live here teaching English and have been here 4 times in total, finding new hidden delights every time that take you away from the heavily visited areas of Pattaya or Ko Samui. I can’t wait to help you discover the real Thailand, I know you’ll love it as much as I do.
Everything is possible in India, it’s their catchphrase and it couldn’t be more true. You can bliss out on the beaches of Goa and Kerala as I did on my first trip, enjoy a yoga retreat there or in the mountains, come face to face with tigers and other wildlife in one of their many national parks or immerse yourself in royal palaces and forts of Rajasthan like I did on my second trip in 2016. It is an interesting country, but not an easy place to travel. It was in fact one of the hardest countries we visited in so many ways, but also one of the most memorable after we figured out how to get around the harsh travel conditions. I’m happy to say I made contacts there that can make your stay much less stressful than mine was!
A country with a very strong identity and rich history, Vietnam is the perfect destination for anyone who loves delicious food, dazzling landscapes and friendly people. Visit Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh for exceptional food including the famous Pho soup, fresh spring rolls and many more delicious treats. Head into the mountains for a glimpse of the iconic rice paddies, or the coast for impossibly beautiful beaches and Ha Long Bay, home to the famous limestone towers. There’s so much to see and do here you’re truly spoilt for choice. With help from an expert you can experience all the best bits to suit your personality and travel style.
Visiting one of the numerous enchanting cities in Europe is the perfect way to spend a weekend. There are so many to choose from, with great deals on flights and hotels available throughout the year. Try one of the more famous cities like London, Paris, Barcelona or Rome, or one of the architectural gems like Prague, Venice, Budapest or Bruges. There’s also plenty of quiet picturesque towns around like Rouen, Turin or event the Alps for skiing. These are just a few ideas for a well deserved break, but there’s not always time to plan which highlights to visit, the best neighbourhood to stay in or restaurants to sample the best of the local cuisine. For just £100, let me take the planning off your hands so you can focus on having a relaxing, fun filled getaway.
